Hello Everyone,
We had a fun meeting with the ladies that help run the show at Thimbleweed Quilters. I hope you take an opportunity to join in and support your friends in providing the many classes, projects and community service creations that are planned. Let's make this year an interesting and fulfilling year for Thimbleweed Quilters. 

On a side note, did anyone take a picture of me in my Photographer/Press outfit? If so, would you please share a copy with me? Email or text will work. Contact me at holika@comcast.net if you can share. Thank you!

Meeting Notes

Hello Everyone,
Thimbleweed's first meeting of 2017 went very well. We had plenty of announcements on upcoming events and activities. Here are a few highlights: 
1) If you are interested in contributing to the quilt show that will hand at the Loma Colorado library for the month of February, please bring your quilt(s) to the next meeting. Page Gettman is collecting them and will be there to hang them on January 23 in the morning. Please volunteer to help hang the display. For more information please contact Page G. 
2) Entries are being accepted for the 2017 Albuquerque Fiber Arts Fiesta. You need 2 photos of your entry and the form to be considered for the show. all the details and the form are available on the Albuquerque Fiber Arts Council website. 4) finish It club 2017 will have forms available at the next meeting and they should be available on this blog soon as well. Please see the Upcoming meetings tab or the email updates tab for more information. get your list ready!
3) Future classes: Anna Mae is presenting a class in March on creating an Art Tote out of a store bought placemat. she will have placemats available for $! and clipboards for $2 if you want them. Bobbie P is considering a class for her roll up sewing kit. Kits will be available for approx $10 and she needs 10-12 people for the class to happen. Please let her know if you are interested.
4) Our community Service Team is looking into various projects for us to contribute. Please let Anna Mae know if you have suggestions.
